Effective Date: June 1, 2024

The average practice subscribed to Dental Intelligence’s Engagement product (or a subscription like “Dental Intelligence” which includes Engagement) has around 3,000 Active Patients in their practice.  On average, these practices send about 2,350 “SMS segments” per month to their patients to communicate reminders for appointments, billing, treatment acceptance, etc.

The Engagement and full bundle Dental Intelligence subscriptions include 5,000 “SMS segments” per month to offer ample coverage for our typical practice.  An “SMS Segment” is a 160 character text message.  Over 80% of our practices use less than 5,000 segments per month.  If your practice is larger than average or anticipates sending more SMS messages than normal, you will have the option to purchase additional SMS segments so you don’t incur overage charges each month.

For those larger practices that fall outside of these SMS segment limits, an overage fee of 4 cents ($0.04) will be charged for each segment over the 5,000 per month limit and will be billed in the month following the overage.  Alternatively, blocks of 2,500 additional SMS segments per month can be added to your Engagement or Dental Intelligence subscription for $50.00 per block per month (pro-rated through the end of your current subscription term).  For example, a practice with 8,000 patients, may choose to purchase two additional blocks per month, increasing their available SMS segments to 10,000 per month.

The charges described above will take effect on the sooner to occur of: (i) the effective date of your initial term if you are a new customer or the effective date of your next renewal term if you are an existing Customer; or (ii) your agreement to be bound by this SMS Volume Limitation and Pricing Policy in a signed Order or amendment to an existing Order.  Any charges for exceeding the applicable SMS segment limits will be invoiced to Customer in the next billing cycle following the overage.

This policy is subject to change, and such changes will take effect in accordance with the Customer Terms of Service and the Order applicable to Customer’s use of the Subscription Services.
